George Henri Primeau

Artist(s):

Father Primeau was a parish priest at St. Jean Baptiste Parish from 1966 to 1978. He is fondly remembered for his tenacity in completing community projects. Known as a persistent lobbyist, his efforts resulted in the paving of parking lots at the Parish Hall and Arena, and having the St. Jean Baptiste Church, Rectory, and Convent designated as provincial historic sites in the 1970s. He was named Morinville’s Citizen of the Year in 1968 and passed away in his home April 27, 1989.
