Morinville

Located just beside the AB-2 Highway on the north of Edmonton, Morinville is a town that as developed rapidly during the past decade. Surrounded by fields and natural landscapes, the town is now home to more than 8,000 citizens and welcomes many tourists that come to see the paintings in the St-Jean Baptiste Park or to learn about the history of the region in the Morinville Museum.

Morinville Museum

Located in the building that once was the Notre-Dame Couvent, the Morinville Museum relates the story of the region and the arrival of its’ first citizens. You can see many objects that were used throughout the generations and that are now kept inside the museum for the visitors to see.

St-Jean Baptiste Park

The Saint-Jean-Baptiste park, near the Morinville Museum presents many paintings on the role that the francophones have played during the 1775-77 and the 1812-14 wars against the United States.
