Dr. Fergusson & Sarah Rondeau

Angus Fergusson came from Glengarry Country, Ontario and settled in Morinville in 1905. On call 24 hours a day and seven days a week, he treated the sick, rich, and poor alike. He worked tirelessly during the Spanish Flu Epidemic ministering the sick and dying. He passed away in 1943.
Sarah Rondeau arrived in Morinville in 1892. Along with being a midwife and healer, she ran a boarding house. She delivered 1,108 babies and never lost a baby before baptism or a mother during delivery. She also brewed her own medicines and home remedies.
